On February 15, 2024, the State University of Milagro (UNEMI) disseminated through its institutional media the progress of the first meeting of the EENTITLE project, an international initiative that seeks to strengthen the teaching of engineering in Ecuador through teacher training, the use of digital technologies and professional recognition.
The information was published on the UNEMI institutional website and in the Academic Management System (SGA), reaching more than 65,000 registered students who actively use this platform. With this strategy, the university ensures the social impact of the project and its visibility in the academic community.
The Kick-Off Meeting of the EENTITLE project took place from February 1 to 3, 2024, at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), Portugal. This event brought together all the international partners of the project, including UNEMI, to define the objectives and key lines of work. During the meeting, the work packages (WPs) were presented, which include:
· Project management and preparation.
· Design of institutional reward systems.
· Creation of pilot capacity development centers.
· Network of training centers and professional registration of educators.
· Inclusive social recognition and quality assurance.
· Impact and dissemination strategies.
The meeting stood out for its collaborative approach, setting clear goals to ensure a significant change in the evaluation, development and recognition of engineering educators. UNEMI, as a key player in the project, reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and educational innovation.
The dissemination of these results in institutional media aims to raise awareness among the university community and the general public about the importance of the project, and to promote the involvement of students, teachers and other relevant actors. EENTITLE not only seeks to improve teaching in Ecuador, but also to position UNEMI as a benchmark in educational innovation and teacher development.
