UNEMI inaugurates first Capacity Development Center (CDC) in Ecuador as part of the EENTITLE Project

The State University of Milagro opens a strategic space for teacher training in engineering, promoting educational quality at the national and international level.

The State University of Milagro (UNEMI) will hold the official inauguration of the Center for Capacity Development (CDC), an academic milestone that marks the strengthening of teacher training in Ecuador. This center is one of the main results of the international project EENTITLE (Ecuadorian Engineering Educators Capacity Development and Recognition), funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program.

The inauguration event will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, starting at 09:00 a.m. in block R of UNEMI, Milagro headquarters. The event will be attended by university authorities, representatives of national higher education organizations and delegates from allied European institutions.

The CDC was created with the purpose of strengthening the pedagogical competencies of engineering teachers through innovative continuing education programs, the use of state-of-the-art technology and the implementation of active learning methodologies. Its objective is to achieve the endorsement as a training operator accredited by the Ministry of Labor, which will allow it to offer certified training at the national level.

Thanks to funding from EENTITLE, the center has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology, guaranteeing a modern infrastructure in line with the quality standards required by national and international higher education organizations. This strategic space will not only strengthen UNEMI’s academic quality, but will also contribute to the educational, scientific and social development of the country, in close collaboration with institutions in Europe and Ecuador.

The inauguration of the CDC represents a firm step towards educational excellence, consolidating UNEMI’s commitment to offer quality training.
