aAs part of Science Awareness Month, organized by the State University of Milagro (UNEMI), the EENTITLE Project played a prominent role on September 12, 2024. The event, held at 3:00 p.m. in the university’s central auditorium, was attended by teachers, students and invited guests, who gathered to learn about the progress, objectives and impact that this initiative is having on higher education in engineering in Ecuador.
The EENTITLE team, led by PhDs Paolo Fabre Merchán, Jesennia Cárdenas Cobos and Fabricio Guevara Viejó, together with Mgs. Mirella Correa Peralta, presented the progress of the project and its strategic objectives. In their speeches, they highlighted UNEMI’s commitment to strengthening the teaching, evaluation and recognition of engineering teachers through innovative tools and strategies with a social impact.
During the event, key aspects were highlighted, such as the development of the Quality Assurance Plan and the importance of the Capacity Development Centers (CDC), which will be fundamental for improving teacher training and promoting the use of digital technologies in the educational process. It was also mentioned that the process of acquiring technological equipment that will enable the implementation of the CDC in UNEMI is currently underway.
The dissemination of this activity was not limited to the face-to-face event. Through institutional media, such as the website and the Academic Management System (SGA), it was possible to reach more than 65,000 students enrolled at the university, who were able to access detailed information on the objectives and achievements of the project. In addition, 150 attendees participated in person, enriching the dialogue and the exchange of ideas around the future of engineering education.
This initiative reinforces UNEMI’s commitment to innovation and educational development, positioning the university as a benchmark in international cooperation projects. The activity also made visible the joint effort of the institutions participating in the project, fostering academic collaboration and social impact at the regional and national levels.
